Squalane from olive oil
Squalane is a naturally occurring component of the skin. It occurs in small amounts in the lipid layers of the skin. Squalane is known to moisturize while restoring skin’s softness.
Florabeads jojoba esters
Jojoba is a desert shrub, and the extract from its nut is known for its rich moisturizing benefits. Although it appears to be oil, jojoba is actually a liquid wax ester (a hydrogenated derivative) with a structure similar to the natural esters present in sebum, which is a natural protector produced by the body’s sebaceous glands. Sebum holds in skin’s moisturizing water, leading to healthier, more radiant skin and a more youthful appearance.
The jojoba beads in Daily Exfoliating Cleanser have been formulated into biodegradable scrubbing beads, called Florabeads®. Florabeads Jojoba gently and effectively exfoliate the skin removing dead skin cells and exposing fresh, youthful skin without worry of harming delicate skin. Florabeads® contain no microplastics!
Cucumber extract
Cucumber is a superfood for your skin. The juice is composed largely of proteins, lipids, vitamin C, and a variety of minerals.
Aloe vera
Aloe vera is a perennial succulent that has water storage tissue in its leaves that allows it to survive in dry areas with little rain fall. Aloe vera has long been used as an herbal remedy to help soothe irritated skin.
Olive Oil
Olive oil is extracted from the fruit of the olive tree. It is hypothesized that Cleopatra used to use olive oil as a part of her skin regimen and the Romans used it to oil their bodies after bathing. It has been used since 4000 B.C. by the Mediterranean population for various applications. (Viola, P. et al. 2009. Virgin olive oil as a fundamental nutritional component and skin protector)
